My Story

I lost all the weight I lost for ME, but at a certain point, you get tired of people calling you fat as well! My entire life, I've been dealing with stagnant insecurities about my size and appearance, which took a toll on my mental health. I've always known and understood I had to make a significant change in my life for the sake of both my mental and physical health.

Like many people, I've failed numerous times in an attempt to lose weight, but 2020 was different. I had to come to a realization of where I was physically and create a plan. I set out a goal, wrote it down, spoke it into existence, and made it happen. My journey hasn't been easy, but I'm a living example that you CAN do whatever you set your mind to. Something I've been struggling with my entire life, I've put above myself. My journey has been more than just a weight loss journey; it's a lifestyle journey that will continue.

I would not be where I'm at right now if it was not for a motto that took over my life at the beginning of my journey. In late 2019, I would work out occasionally, but it never resulted in any actual results. I remember asking my friend to invite me to work out whenever she went to the gym, and she responded, "I be here every day; we got the same 24 hours." Though she said it jokingly, it stuck with me. Every workout I've done since that day, "we got the same 24 hours" has been on my mind. This timeless encounter changed my life, and it's one of the main reasons I've made so much progress! No matter the time or day, we all have the same 24 hours. Period.

My advice for anyone wanting to make that change as well is to make sure you're genuinely doing it for yourself and no one else. That motivation you have will turn to determination.
